Blue Phantom Project Forum Opens!!!

It's taken a long time, I was hesitating, but since the project's reaching a stage where a completion is in sight, I think it's only just that I set up a forum all for it.

Well, in fact it's not least Mateus Borges's credit, who went live with his ADP Forum just recently, that I finally decided to set one up , man I'm such a copyist :D!

But after all, this might not be the worst idea, so I can put my thoughts and ideas down and receive feedback on them withouth having to update my site everytime or filling the XWAU Boards with tons of 'unrelated' stuff.

So, Welcome to the Blue Phantom Project Forum!

This will be the place for everything around my little XWA Project, its status, development and the things in life that do or do not matter.

Of course, I won't abandon the XWAU and other boards. New releases and critical updates will be posted there like before. The new forum is just for the things going past normal mod announcements.

So join in, have a drink and have a good time! The bar is in the east wing ;)

VXHQ Christmas Madness Continues!!

Here we go again! This one's a release by popular demand:

Here it is, the Republic style Victory I-class Star Destroyer, a modification of my standard VSD featuring the typical red markings of the Republic fleet. Furthermore it comes with four different flightgroup colors, which change/remove the respective fleet logo.

Dhilani Planetary Invasion Lander available!

Out of the blue comes a new and never before known or mentioned ship, the heavily armed Dhilani Planetary Invasion Lander

Carried in groups of three by the mighty Dhilani Trident Battleships, these Landing juggernauts are the workhorses of the Dhilani Invasion Forces. Combining the functionalities of ground bombardment and troop transport they are flying fortresses designed to conquer rebellious worlds.

The bottom side of the Invasion Lander is covered by a multitude of heavy energy Turrets that create a carpet of fire and ashes beneath the massive ship, making sure no resistance is in the deployment area.

New XWAU Releases!

Yup, it's this time of the year again and it's snowing christmas presents all over the place! Accurately to the holidays Marco Antonio Malheiros has released his awesome XWAUP version of the Cargo Ferry. Along with this, Master Qui-Gon comes up with his updated Probe.

Until the files are up at XWAU, you can download them from Darksaber's X-Wing Station.

New Utilities at Darksaber's!

The Godfather of XWA Editing returns with a nice utilities update. Presenting two of the most useful(no kidding) utilities for XWA editing besides OPTech and AlliEd, he now released XWA OPTer, a program that fixes a lot of the shading problems on custom OPTs by recalculating the vertices, and OPT GL an OpenGL OPT Viewing program featuring numerous shading/mapping view options, as well as Flightgroup color and LOD views. Both Programs were developed by a french programmer known as Ooc. Well done, I can say.

Both utilities are available at Darksaber's X-Wing Station.

New version of OPTech!

Speaking of new utilities, Com_Trooper has finally released an update to the number 1 OPTing program, OPTech, now featuring Mesh-to-Mesh and Face-to-Mesh assigning, a very useful feature to cut down Mesh counts or belatedly add faces to a model.

with the new XWA OPTer released, Mateus Borges has taken the time to revise all his models and clean up a lot of the model shadings. Go to the ADP Homepage to download the updates!

More utilities

Geeze, I get no rest these days! Defiant is back! With him are a bunch of new XWA utilities, namely the latest and final version of the X-Wing Install System, a package based Installation system for XWA, followed by XWSetup, a special plugIn to create executable Installers using NSIS.

Finally: Cophuran v2!

Finally! XWA goes sub-marine!

I had this lying around for ages with only a last tidbit left to be done. It is now ;). Finally the second version of my Cophuran surface is done and available for download. So what's new?

• All new underwater environment
• Skybox, a today's standard for planetary surfaces
• Engine glows create a bit of realism making the underwater environment less clear :)
• some more cool stuff

Updated Venator-SD available!

Yup, I'm not done with you yet :)

While some other OPTs are undergoing final tweakings, here's an updated version of the EP3 Venator-class Star Destroyer. Along with some minor tweakings, I beefed up the engine glows and got rid of some MIP-mapping issues by updating some of the textures. As before you can download it right here.

New ADP OPTs and Forum!

Mateus Borges' hot Project has recently been added with some amazing new OPTs, including an update of wrecked/dirty Armada-Class Battleship, the Automatic Ancient-class Fighter and the Geonosian Droid Stafighter. New Release (Drum roll)!

Two actually...

And an upgrade to the

The circle is now complete. Finally the XWA Upgrade Victory II-class Star Destroyer is completed. The VSD2 brings along all the resemblances of the VSD1, while introducing new features, like no more wings, a new engine layout as well as a greater firepower delivered by the newly added 2x4 twin batteries near the rear.

Along with this release I took the time and beefed up the VSD1 as well so there is no difference in quality between the two. Click the pictures above to download these badass beauties or look at their profiles for more info and screenshots!

New Release: Dhilani Octopus!

Like I said, back to doing (and releasing) TBP stuff :)

What looks like some flying zombi-squid is in fact the Dhilani understanding of a Gunboat. It could be best described as a flying energy gattling gun than anything else. The rear half of the main body is basically one big engine propelling the Octopus to enormous speeds to allow fast and furious attack runs towards large targets. In fact this is necessary, because due to its poor maneuverability the fighter is not suitable for dogfighting.

Another one!

Right, where was I....

Here we go again. This is, for now the last OPT I've made for the ROTS shipset, now to finish up the mission and FrontEnd and get back to the Blue PhantomProject. The mighty Munificent-Class Star Frigate was originally built to carry the Banking Clan's Communications transceivers and thus spread their private communications network - independant from the galactic holonet. When the clone wars erupted, these ships were dedicated to the CIS fleet and the network used for military communications and propaganda.

Another one done. This time it's the dreadded Trade Federation Cruiser, General Grievous' flagship Invisible Hand. Feared among the unprotected planets of the Outer Rim this mighty warship has everything that gives it the title 'flagship'.

ROTS Season commences!!

It has begun! Revenge of the Sith is available on DVD and VXHQ is all on it again.

With this Upgrade on the original Trade Federation Battleship by Rebel VXHQ introduces the new Episode III season. What does that mean?

Well, first of all this means a new OPT for you to download and enjoy (screens here! Second, I've set up a new section on my site, solely related to my upcoming Episode III: Battle over Coruscant shipset. Simply click the new button on the menu bar to the left to enter the new section. Hope you like it! But stay tuned. I've got more stuff coming up soon!

More WIPs

Bit by bit my Battle over Coruscant Project is growing. With the Venator and the TrieFighter done, only a few more ships are missing - and they are already in quite a good shape. With Master Qui-Gon working on the ARC-170 it's up to me to finish the opposing capital ships - the Trade Federation's Providence Class-Destroyer and the Banking Clan's Munificient-Class Star Frigate. Also, I've started work on an upgraded version of Rebel's original Trade Federation Battleship. Have a first glimps of these models on m< Workbench!.

I've been messing around with this one for quite a wile now ... Well, this is somewhat an homage to my currently favorite TV show, a fully pimped Dhilani Vampire Fighter. People who have followed recent battle threads notice that the ESS have come to utilize Dhilani technology on their ships. The ESS Vampire is sort of the result of ESS and Dhilani Technology merging to perfection.

Big big big BIG Release!!

It is done!

The Supreme Battlecruiser, also known as the Warrior, known and dreaded as Vince Trageton's mighty flagship, has now made it through final testing and is now available for DOWNLOAD. 5km from bow to stern it is the biggest starship I've done so far with its number of weapon hardpoints already scraping the upper limits! Yay me!

News Flash!

Been a while, eh? Well, despite my lack of new releases I'm not inactive - not at all. The SBCR Warrior is maknig nice progress and should be finished within the next month. For now you can enjoy some new additions to my WIP section, being a first glimpse at the EP3: Invisible Hand and my newest creation, the mighty Traquia-Class Flagship, which followed after the Warrior's destruction in a recent Battlethread.

New OPTs from the Community

While I was still drooling about the new Star Wars film, other members of our community have been doing some more productive things. DTM is back and has released his awesome Eta-2 Actis Interceptor, the neat little Jedi starfighters from ROTS, as well as a new updated version of his Delta-7 Jedi Starfighter. You can download both from MTD Industries. Along with those release he is planning/working on a Clone Wars shipset, which I will contribute my part as well =)

Furthermore, OPT Shooting Star Mateus Borges, in cooperation with Master Qui-Gon has released another great OPT, the Mandragora-Class Corvette known from SW: Galaxies, as well as a few updates to some of his prior OPTs. Check them out at the ADP Website

The inofficial successor of the Dhilani Nemesis is a slim and fragile looking craft. However its enormous speed and agility along with its small shape make it a very advanced space superiority fighter.

Well, I guess I'm not yet fully over my volcano trip! Or I'm just too obsessed with this firy atmosphere ... dunno. Anyway, here's a new hangar for you to enjoy. A large landing platform built into the steep edge of a volcanic crater, only a few hundred meters above a lake of molten lava.

This is my tribute to probably one of the greatest planets in the SW-Universe(after Coruscant) – The hellish planet of Mustafar, stage for the furious duel between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader in the end of the upcoming final part of the star Wars series: Episode 3 – Revenge of the Sith.

By far the 'oldest' ship I've released so far the Viper is the precursor of the Victory Fighter and built about 20-30 years the latter.

Although lacking a cockpit it however comes with some nice flightgroup colors for variety's sake =)

New Release - Liberator Corvette

Yay! Finally something new!

This rather old light Starship from the days before the United Planets was constructed for convoy escorting purposes, yet due to its rather large cargo capicty and good protection soon was used as an armored cargo vessel itself.

WELCOME to the new Site!!

OK, I dunno how many of you got tired of the unhandy way this site is built. I have nevertheless. So I have pretty much completely redone the entire frontpage to make browsing it much easier and more comfortable. I combined the main page with the non-TBP OPTs section for the sake of less complexity. You'll find it much easier to use and browser-friendly now. I hope you like the new changes!

Not officially XWAU, but still a great job, Master Qui-Gon has released his upgraded Nebulon-B Frigate. Great job once again, Qui-Gon!
